As IT DIRECTOR in a diverse role with an VERY ATTRACTIVE EXECUTIVE SALARY, you will be based in ABU DHABI, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), just a 90 minute drive from the City the World is talking about, DUBAI.
Your role will be to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Company’s IT and Communication Systems. You will be involved with working relationships with all users of IT, Group IT Staff, and IT Managers in the Company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the reliability of IT / Communication networks and Key application software.
- Implementation of Group architecture, strategy and policy.
- Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met.
- Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems within the Group’s framework.
- Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met.
- Hardware and software inventory management.
- Define and seek approval for the level of IT resources required to meet these goals and prioritises and schedules major projects.
- Recruit, direct and motivate the staff of the Information Technology department.
- Accountability for the management, mentoring and career development of all IT staff.
- Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies.
- Direct, attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues.
- Responsibility for managing IT procurement within Group policies.
